Missionary Week # 32 Date: April 22, 2019 – April 28, 2019
We’ve had another
great week, holidays this last week and we just learned we have one more
holiday this coming week! Spring is really here! The tulips are popping up all around and the
trees are getting their leaves back. We are enjoying the warmer days.
Monday – It was
another day off – Easter Monday! We
relaxed and were able to talk to some of our kids. It was a great day, but we are ready to get
back to work!
Tuesday - First
day back at work and we were able to wear our lighter coats to work. I had 40 messages of files I could delete on
my computer – so I now have some room!
Wednesday – Since
the sun is up earlier, we get up earlier and we get ready and go in early! It was great weather today. Normal day at work.

Thursday – On our
way into work today at one of our train stations we noticed a sign that said
they would be closing our station for a large renovation over the summer –
which means we have to go to another station and walk a little longer to get to
work – but it’s not that bad. We figure
since we sit all day the walk will do us good!
We were able to wish our son Jaylen a Happy Birthday today. We are sure glad for being able to have video
calls – sometimes it isn’t a real good connection but we’ll take it!
Friday – We were
at work before 7 this morning. We were
able to get our work sent off and we left about 2:30. We had a Ward Temple day today
– so it worked out well to get home and change and go to the Temple. After the Temple we came home and ordered
take away from the ASAP WOK at our train station. We were too late to do laundry – so it’s
scheduled in the morning. We want to wish Justin & Larissa a Happy
Anniversary 23yrs!!!!
Saturday – John
got up early and did all the laundry! I baked all day; we have to take dessert
to a dinner on Sunday night – so I wanted to try out the brownie recipe and it
worked – so I was able to make a larger batch and banana bread. We went to the grocery store by us to get a
few things we needed, and we were able to talk to our daughter in Hawaii –
Janell. It had been awhile since we were
able to catch up with her.
Sunday – We went
to church, where we found out that Tuesday is Valborg (pronounced Val bory) – a
Holiday at least a half day off work and then Wednesday is May Day - so we will have to see what all goes on! The
Archive will be closed the whole day – so we don’t have to go to work at all on
Wednesday. We went back home after
church and got ready for the dinner at the Mission Home. The Senior Couple – Elder & Sister
Donohoo are going home to California after 23 months on their mission. They did extend their 18-month mission to
23. We are down 4 Senior Couples now and
no new people have signed up. There is a
big need for the Young Single Adult Center assignment and Member Leader Support
and Temple workers – besides our Record’s preservation! We had a good time with all the couples and
got to hear some stories from our Mission President and the Office Elder who
both served their missions here in Sweden when they were young. It was fun to hear their stories about the
changes.
That’s about it for
this week – nothing too exciting! We
hope your week is beautiful and warm! Enjoy
your families and to our grandkids – enjoy your last month at school! Can’t believe it’s almost summer for
you!
We love and miss you
and think of you all often
John & Linda –
Grampa & Gramma
