Hello
Everyone! We had another great
week. We hope that you are enjoying Fall
weather – and maybe even some Winter weather!

Monday
– We were off to work and got in before 7 am. Good day at work – however, I finished 1
Box! I posted a picture of Dörby Parish
on my Facebook page and Elder & Sister Borg that work with us said, “we
noticed the picture of the church – we went there too!” One of Elder Borg’s family went there too! We
wondered if our families knew each other!? Small World!
We had a video call with Jaylen
& Blaire and got to talk to Millie and Max!
It’s so fun to talk to the little ones who weren’t talking when we left
and now, they are talking so well!
Millie, Titus and Porter are all 2 going on 3!
Tuesday
– We are wearing our heavy coats and scarfs to work –
it’s cold and today even a bit of wind – so it feels colder! I got one box done at work. We had a Marco Polo from Jennifer and Porter;
Bo & Gunner and they were trying to cheer up Bridger who was home sick.
John called for service on our
car – it has a hard time starting up. So,
they sent a wrecker to bring it in to their service center. John had to ride the train home to give them
the keys and he was back in about 1 ½ hours.
We left at 4pm and after dinner we watched the
highlights of the St. Johns vs Morenci football game and we saw JT on several tackles.
Wednesday
– We really left early this morning and got to work
at 6:45! I was able to finish 2 boxes
and we had a late lunch. John checked on
the car – no it’s not ready yet! We were
hoping to go to Örebro this weekend…. we can’t make plans yet without a
car!
Thursday
– We were at work by 6:50 today. We had lunch at 1 and
it was raining. When we leave at 4pm it’s
DARK! We miss our barn and barn barn
(children and grandchildren!)
Friday
– We had breakfast, set off to work, had time to send
a Marco Polo to Janell from one of our train stops at Fridhemsplan. Got our shuttles sent off to Germany. We left at 3pm today and then we had to wait
for 30 minutes or so for a train going the right way! Something was happening – couldn’t read the
notice that was in Swedish but we did notice the word “Policen” so there was
something happening with the Police.
We had our Friday night date
night at 7 tonight – for laundry. Somebody
got our 4pm schedule somehow. It worked out just fine.
We were hoping to catch the first-round
playoff game for St. Johns against Arizona Lutheran, but we couldn’t find it
anywhere online. John got a Marco Polo
from a friend, Von Stradling – who let him know they were missing him on the
chain gang at the game and that they were in the playoffs.
Saturday
– We got up at 4am to check on the football game – still
couldn’t find it or any score being reported.
By the time we got up in the morning we learned we had won 35-7 so great
job Redskins! With that win our head
coach Mike Morgan got his 336th win and tied Coach Paul Moro from
Blue Ridge for most wins in a career.
Pretty impressive. We are a
little partial – we love the coaching staff - our son Jonathan is one of the Defensive
Coaches with Coach Garcia.
We left at noon to go to Kista
for a movie and shopping. It was raining when we left and raining when we got
back. We watched the new movie “Midway” it was great
to see and learn a little more history.
Then we walked through the food court and found IKKI…. we said – it’s
gotta be good – RIGHT? It was a Korean shop
and we did enjoy it. It reminded me of
one time we had Lily and we took her to lunch with us at Subway and asked her
what she wanted – and she said it’s the Yucky one. I couldn’t figure out which one that was
until I came across the Teriyaki sandwich…then I knew what she wanted!!! LOL
When we got home – we ran around
the corner to get some milk and eggs since we are out of almost everything! We found out we might get the car back next
Tuesday. Keep your fingers crossed.
Sunday
– We got ready for church and left about 10am headed
for the train. We got to church in time!
In the SNOW! It rained all night and was
raining when we got up and as we were getting ready – John looked out the
window and said, “I hate to say this but It’s Snowing!” Of course, it would snow on the day we have
to walk and ride trains to church! It
snowed while we were in church and on the way home – it is really pretty!
John got a new calling in church
today – he will be the new English-speaking Sunday School teacher when the
Borgs leave in two weeks.
We hope you have a wonderful week
– Happy Veterans Day to all our Veterans out there and be safe and keep on
smiling!
